At its debut tournament, staged in December 2002, teams competed in Counter-Strike 1.6, Warcraft III, Jedi Knight 2 and NASCAR 2002. At the most recent series, the disciplines were FIFA, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, StarCraft II and League of Legends. Since 2011, the series has had three seasons per year (spring, summer, winter) with offline finals in front of an audience. The summer event usually takes place before large crowds at Gamescom.

Korea has enjoyed many long-running eSports tournament series for StarCraft since its pro gaming scene exploded around 2002. However, most of the StarCraft I tournaments are already over and StarCraft II was launched in 2010.
