The youngest winner of the Squash Women's World Championship is Nour El Sherbini (Egypt; b.1 November 1995), who was 20 years 181 days old when she won the 2015 World Championships in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on 30 April 2016.

Nour El Sherbini arrived on the world stage as a 13-year-old when she became the youngest ever World Junior Champion in 2009.

In 2014, El Sherbini became the youngest ever finalist when she lost to Laura Massaro, who was also her rival in the final in 2016. El Sherbini fought back from 0–2 down to win 6–11, 4–11, 11–3, 11–5, 11–8.

The previous record was held by Susan Devoy (New Zealand), who was 21 years 239 days old when she took the 1985 title.
