The Family Stadium series of games – which is also known as Famista – was launched in 1986. The first game was Pro Yayuu Family Stadium (Namco, 1986) for the Nintendo Entertainment System in December 1986 and the most recent was Pro Yakyuu Famista Climax (Bandai Namco Games, 2017), released in April 2017. This means that the franchise has been running for 30 years.

Interestingly, Pro Yayuu Family Stadium was released in the USA as R.B.I Baseball (Namco, 1988) two years later and it became the first game to to be licensed by the Major League Baseball Players Association).

R.B.I. Baseball 17 (MLB Advanced Media, 2017) was released on 28 March 2017, which means it has been running for 28 years and two months.
