Released for the PlayStation in 1998, ground-breaking ninja adventure Tenchu: Stealth Assassins was the first 3D stealth videogame. In it, players choose between a pair of ninja assassins as they tackle evil and corruption in an eerie, feudal Japan. On 11 February 2016, Australian Twitcher "ShizudoTengoku" sped through the game in a deadly 26 minutes 28 seconds playing as the older, stronger male ninja Rikimaru, as verified by Speedrun.com.
As of 6 December 2016, Shizudo also held the fastest completion as the female ninja Ayame.
