As of 23 February 2018, the Japanese martial artist had been used by 726 Street Fighter V players, racking up a Usage Score of 1,581 – a tally calculated by where the character fits in a player's roster. Returning female character Karin was in second place with 1,056, and Special Forces soldier Nash was in third with 1,022. Ryu had been by far the most used character in Ultra Street Fighter IV.
