Since this public vote category was inaugurated at the British Academy Children's Awards in 1999, five television series have claimed it twice. Chronologically, these are: SMTV Live (UK; 1998–2003) in 2000 and 2002; Hannah Montana (USA; 2006–11) in 2008–09; Good Luck Charlie (USA; 2010–14) in 2011–12; Jessie (USA; 2011–15) in 2013–14; and The Next Step (Canada; 2013–present) in 2015–16.
Between 1999 and 2008, the BAFTA "Kids' Vote" award encompassed all categories, but in 2009 it was divided into Feature Film, Television and Video Game. This record takes into account all results since the "Kids' Vote" award was established.
