The most international water polo titles held simultaneously by a men's team is five and was achieved by Serbia, who won the 2014 World Cup, 2015 World League, 2015 World Championships, 2016 European Championships and secured their fifth title by winning the 2016 Olympic Gold Medal in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on 20 August 2016.

No other team has ever won all five trophies, let alone simultaneously.

Serbia have dominated men's water polo, but had never won the Olympic gold until August 2016.
