TV series Horrible Histories (UK; 2009–present) has won six Comedy BAFTAs at the British Academy Children's Awards: 2010–13, 2019, and in 2016 with a special titled Horrible Histories: Sensational Shakespeare. The historical sketch show is based on the best-selling series of books of the same name by British author Terry Deary.
The British Academy Children's Awards introduced its Comedy category in 2010.
