U2 (Ireland) grossed $119,203,900 (£92,861,800) from 55 shows on their eXPERIENCE + iNNOCENCE Tour between 2 May and 28 October 2018, according to figures published by Billboard Boxscore. More than 840,000 fans witnessed the spectacle in Billboard’s tracking period, putting the veteran rockers narrowly ahead of The Rolling Stones, who grossed $117,844,618 (£88,657,600) from a total attendance of 750,874 for the last 14 European dates of their No Filter Tour (17 May to 8 July 2018).
eXPERIENCE + iNNOCENCE was the seventh-highest-grossing tour of 2018, according to Billboard Boxscore, behind Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, Beyoncé & Jay-Z, Bruno Mars, P!nk and Justin Timberlake. Other bands who made the list included Journey & Def Leppard, Eagles, Depeche Mode and Foo Fighters.
The 2018 Billboard Boxscore year ran from 1 November 2017 to 31 October 2018. The eXPERIENCE + iNNOCENCE Tour concluded in Berlin, Germany, on 13 November 2018, with five shows taking place after the 31 October cut-off point. In total, the tour grossed $126.2 million (£97.9 million) from 60 concerts.
The two-leg jaunt was in support of U2’s 14th studio album, Songs of Experience, which debuted at No.1 on the US Billboard 200 on 23 December 2017.
