The largest permanent projection-mapped display measures 32,108 m² (345,607 ft² 94 in²) and was achieved by Al Qiddiya Company (Saudi Arabia), in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on 1 December 2019.
Qiddiya Development created this video projection mapping system covering the iconic Cliff of Qiddiya to use permanently as a canvas to deliver unparalleled shows and group experiences for many years to come. On 17 January 2020 the system was used as the main backdrop for the closing ceremony of the 2020 Dakar Rally event which featured performances from DJ Snake, Wiz Khalifa and Young Thug. The projection display was synced with lighting, laser, audio and fireworks showcasing the full capacity of the system.
