The latest main battle tank from Russia is the T-14 Armata, weighing around 48 tonnes and measuring around 8.7 m in length (excluding the main gun). Its development started in 2011 followed by trials in 2014. Its crew of three sit inside an internal armoured capsule while the main gun is fully unmanned and controlled from within the crew compartment. It was first revealed to the public during the 2015 Moscow Victory Parade on 9 May 2015.
