Márquez took pole twice during the 2024 MotoGP season to take his Grand Prix Motorcycle total to 94. The eight-time world champion (six MotoGP, one Moto 2 and one 125cc class) had qualified fastest 66 times in MotoGP, 14 in Moto 2 and 14 in 125cc class. Márquez’s pole at the Austrian Grand Prix on 10 August 2019 saw him overtake Mick Doohan’s record of 58 MotoGP pole positions.
