In May 2015, photographs were released on the World Wide Web in China showing a twin-bodied, single jet engine-powered UAV with a wingspan of around 40–50 m. Known as the Divine Eagle, this Chinese drone reportedly first flew in February 2015.

While little is known about this vehicle to date, its size suggests it could be large enough to detect incoming stealth aircraft at significant ranges, and some experts believe it will be deployed to watch over Chinese interests in the South China Sea.
