Meg Lanning scored 15 One-Day International (ODI) hundreds for Australia, in 102 innings played between 7 January 2011 and 21 January 2023. Batting as an opener in just her second ODI, Lanning hit a "Player-of-the-Match"-winning 104 not out against England at the WACA in Perth on 7 January 2011. Her most recent hundred was the 135 not out she plundered as captain of the Southern Stars, playing against South Africa in a Women’s Cricket World Cup match at the Basin Reserve in Wellington, New Zealand, on 22 March 2022. Once again, she was named Player of the Match.
As of 21 January 2023, Lanning, nicknamed “Megastar”, had won 69 of the 78 ODIs she’d played as captain of Australia since January 2014, including the team’s nine unbeaten matches at the 2022 Women’s Cricket World Cup. Lanning announced her international retirement in November 2023.
New Zealand run machine Suzie Bates has 12 ODI hundreds to her name. She completed her 148th ODI innings, against South Africa, on 1 October 2023.
