The 2016 MotoGP season (from 20 March to 30 October 2016 ) featured an unprecedented nine different winners. They were: Marc Márquez, Jorge Lorenzo, Maverick Viñales, Dani Pedrosa (all Spain), Andrea Iannone, Andrea Dovisioso, Valentino Rossi (all Italy), Jack Miller (Australia) and Cal Crutchlow (UK). Remarkably, rounds 6–13 of the championship featured eight consecutive different winners.
