The most consecutive boxing world flyweight title defences is 17 by Pongsaklek Wonjongkam (Thailand), who successfully defended his WBC title from 15 July 2001 to 6 April 2007.
Pongsaklek Wonjongkam defended his title between his native Thailand and Japan. He eventually lost the belt to Japanese challenger Daisuke Naito in Tokyo, who he had previously beaten by Technical Decision. He would later draw with Naito before finally reclaiming his title outright in 2010 by defeating Koki Kameda.
Wonjongkam retired in 2013 with a record of 90 wins (47 KOs), five defeats and two draws.
