The most consecutive boxing world super flyweight title defences is 19 by Khaosai Galaxy (Thailand), who successfully defended his WBA title from 6 March 1985 to 21 December 1991.
Galaxy, born Sura Saenkham, was a world champion kick-boxer before he turned to boxing. Of his 19 defences during a seven-year-reign, Galaxy knocked out 16 of those opponents. Only Kongtoranee Payakaroon, Kenji Matsumura and Armando Castro went the distance. After defeating the latter, Galaxy announced his retirement at the age of 32.
