To celebrate the console release of Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (Namco Bandai Games, 2012), the publisher hired the Panasonic IMAX Theatre at Darling Harbour in Sydney, Australia, to host a qualifying tournament for the Tekken European Championships in September 2012. More than 400 Tekken fans attended the event, which saw the likes of Jin, Hwoarang and Yoshimitsu battling it out on a monolithic screen measuring 35.72 m in width and 29.57 m in height.

This was previously the overall largest screen in a videogame tournament.
