The North Galápagos microplate is a tectonic plate in the Pacific Ocean, off the west coast of South America. Measuring around 1,559 km squared, this tiny plate is rotating anti-clockwise and sits at the junction between the Nazca, Cocos and Pacific Plates. Just south of it sits the larger Galapagos microplate, at around 12,000 km squared in area, which is rotating clockwise.
