The attempt was organized by Shima Kikai Co., Ltd, is a wholesale distribution of construction/mining cranes, excavating machinery and equipment. Due to Covid, they were unable to celebrate their 75-year anniversary last year (2021). In lieu of this, they organized a two-day “75+1” event, with their customers competing in the GWR attempt on the 2nd day.
