Highest-grossing Star Trek movie

Of the 13 Star Trek movies released to date, none has earned more at the global box office than Star Trek Into Darkness (USA, 2013), with takings of $467,381,584 (£296.4 million) according to The-Numbers.com. Directed by J J Abrams, the film was the second instalment in the rebooted series that began in 2009.

The next highest grossing in the franchise is 2009's Star Trek, the opening movie in the new rebooted series, which grossed $385,680,446 (£240.7 million).
