The largest cinematic rear projection is 119.22 m² (1283.37 ft²) and was achieved by Paul McGuigan and Lester Dunton (both UK) at Pinewood Studios, Iver Heath, Buckinghamshire, UK, as verified on 15 August 2016.
The projection was used in the film Film Stars Don't Die in Liverpool (Lionsgate UK) starring Jamie Bell (UK) and Annette Bening (USA). It was created to represent a moving Malibu beach background.
The projection took place on a screen measuring 146.83 m² (1580.5 ft²). It took four projectors to create the moving image.
