On June 7 2015, "Zero Master" (Norway) finished The Plutonia Experiment without losing a single life – some 19 years after the game was released. The Doom specialist completed the Nightmare difficulty run in 45 minutes 57 seconds. It was the first time a gamer had managed to nail the levels on the toughest mode in a single-segment and without tools assistance. The 32 levels of The Plutonia Experiment are widely considered to be arguably the toughest Doom levels ever created. They were designed by series fans and brothers Dario and Milo Casali and released by id Software as part of Final Doom in 1996. Final Doom was a fan-made sequel to DOOM 2 but was released officially.
