The longest distance rowed on the Caribbean Sea is 2,700 km (1,677 mi; 1,458 nm) and was achieved by Erden Eruc (Turkey) who rowed solo from Carupano, Venezuela to the Yucatan Channel, from 22 March to 3 May 2012.
Erden completed this journey in his boat, Around-n-Over, as part of his record-breaking first solo circumnavigation of the globe using human power.
