Unveiled by the LEGOLAND Deutschland Resort (Germany) in Günzburg, Germany, on 12 May 2005, the largest stadium made from LEGO bricks took more than 1 million bricks and 4,200-plus hours to complete. It is 5 metres (16 feet 4.8 inches) long, 4.5 metres (14 feet 9.1 inches) wide and 1 metre (3 feet 3.3 inches) tall. The model is a 1:50-scale replica of the Allianz Arena football stadium in Munich, Germany.

The total model weighs in at 1.5 tonnes (1.6 US tons) and also contains some 30,000 LEGO Minifigures. LEGOLAND went to great pains to ensure attention to detail when recreating the stadium, even using the original blueprints from the Swiss architects Herzog & de Meuron.
