As claimed in a video created by Nintendo World Report, the playable area in Xenoblade Chronicles X (Nintendo, 2015) was estimated to stretch to around 154 square miles (or roughly 400 square km according to mynintendonews). This made it larger than any other JRPG and potentially three times bigger than the estimated area in action RPG The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
The game was released for the Wii U in 2015.
