The fastest time to watch every play by William Shakespeare is 288 days, and was achieved by Christina Michalos KC (UK) in Oxford, Oxfordshire, UK, on 28 November 2025

Christina was fortunate to grow up attending Royal Shakespeare Company productions in Stratford-upon-Avon with her parents. Following the loss of her mother, she attended a performance of Twelfth Night at the RSC on Twelfth Night (6 January 2025). Although this particular performance does not count towards her record attempt, it was this experience that inspired her to embark on an endeavour to see all of Shakespeare's plays as a positive focus during a period of grief.

Their endeavour was not initially intended as a record attempt. Christina was unaware that such a Guinness World Records title existed until later, when she discovered that she was on course to beat it.

In total, Christina saw 38 plays: the 36 plays included in Shakespeare's First Folio, together with Pericles and The Two Noble Kinsmen. These two additional works are now widely recognised by the Royal Shakespeare Company and others as collaborations between Shakespeare and, respectively, George Wilkins and John Fletcher.
