Since Nickelodeon started its annual Kids' Choice Awards in 1988, only two film franchises have won three "Favorite Movie" gongs. TV cartoon spinoff Alvin and the Chipmunks was the first to achieve this record in 2008, 2010 and 2012, later equalled by three Hunger Games book adaptations in a row in 2013–15.
