You’ll need around 40GB (40,000,000 kilobytes) to download most modern first-person shooters (such as Call of Duty: Black Ops III). At the other end of the scale, .kkrieger is a fully functioning FPS comprising just 97,280 bytes (97 kilobytes). It was coded by a German demogroup called .theprodukkt, and won first place in the 96K category at the 2004 Breakpoint demoscene party in Bingen, south-west Germany, which ran on 9–12 April. The incredible feat (or “magic”) was achieved owing to .theprodukkt’s ".werkkzeug3" procedural-content-creation and management tool.

Clever coding is partly attributed to efficiency, which is exactly what .theprodukkt set out to prove with .kkrieger.
