Since the release of the arcade classic Final Fight in 1989, Capcom has published a total of 44 beat-'em-ups across all gaming platforms, spanning the complete history of videogames. Its arcade titles Bionic Commando and the Dungeons & Dragons series defined the genre, before home-console blockbusters Devil May Cry and Dead Rising pushed the boundaries, the latter achieving a Guinness World Records title for the most simultaneous enemies on screen.
