In 1990, SEGA released two games based on the Michael Jackson 1988 movie Moonwalker, and featuring the legendary superstar himself. The Michael Jackson's Moonwalker games were released in arcades and for the Mega Drive (Genesis) console. Both portrayed the singer defeating enemies including gangsters and their guard dogs by dancing them out of his way. Instead of resorting to the usual repertoire of punches and kicks, Jackson "fires" dance magic from his fingers and toes.
