Largest virtual gathering of gnomes

The Running of the Gnomes has been an annual event in World of Warcraft since 2010, and was created by "Dravinna" (aka "Magical Warlock Girl") and "Skakavaz" in order to raise awareness for breast cancer research. For the sixth annual run, which happened on 24 October 2015, at least 2,454 gnomes clad in pink tabards turned up for the fund-raising race.

The Running of the Gnomes has grown in size every year: 2010 attracted 140 participants, 2011 had 300, 2012 had 500, 2013 had 1,000, and 2014 had 1,300. "Dravinna" revealed that there may have been more than 2,454 gnomes for the 2015 event, with additional gnomes likely to have been present on trial accounts or in other offshoot guilds.

The event was also created with input from the officers of the SeeD guild from the Scarlet Crusade server.
