The most-watched Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (USA) tournament ever was the PGL Major Stockholm 2021, which secured a peak viewership of 2,748,850 during Ukrainian team Navi's 2-0 grand final victory over G2 Esports on 7 November 2021. The figure, which was held at the Avicii Arena in Stockholm, Sweden, more than doubled the previous CS:GO peak viewership record, set in 2017 when 1.33 million viewers watched the grand final of ELEAGUE Major (USA). Interest in PGL Major Stockholm 2021 was sky-high following a pandemic-enforced two-year absence and a return to a live audience.
