2k15 (Visual Concepts, 2014) allows players to upload scans of their face, captured by either the Kinect on Xbox One or the PlayStation Camera on the PS4, to place on their player in the game’s career mode. Publisher 2K provided a YouTube tutorial and advice on their website on how to get the best results with this system, but that didn't prevent some gamers from producing nightmarish player faces more suited to a survival-horror title.
The face scanning feature from NBA 2k15 returned in NBA 2k16.
Various EA sports games allow gamers to upload photos of their face captured via their Game Face app, but this feature was only extended to their basketball title in NBA Live 16.
