The most push ups in one hour (female) is 1,575 and was achieved by DonnaJean Wilde (Canada), in Magrath, Alberta, Canada, on 28 September 2024.

DonnaJean has previously achieved the record for longest time in an abdominal plank position (female) with a time of 4 hr 30 min and 11 sec. She completed a lot of push-up training in preparation for the attempt, so felt this would be the next record to try for.

On the day of this attempt, DonnaJean was cheered on by 11 of her 12 grandchildren. She broke the previous record mark with just under 20 minutes to go. "I had to fight back the happy tears and emotions and keep going", she told GWR. "I still felt quite strong and I was aiming for a high number of push ups to complete in the next 17 minutes".

She felt her shoulder dislocate and pop back in at one point towards the end of the attempt, but kept pushing through to achieve this incredible total!
