Two players have registered 12-ball fifties in a Twenty20 match: Yuvraj Singh (India), playing against England in the ICC World Twenty20 tournament at Kingsmead, Durban, South Africa, on 19 September 2007; and Chris Gayle (Jamaica), for the Melbourne Renegades against the Adelaide Strikers in Australia's Big Bash League at Docklands Stadium, Melbourne, on 18 January 2016.

Yuvraj's 50 featured three fours and six sixes. All of his sixes came off one Stuart Broad over, the 19th of the match. He was only the fourth player to score a maximum 36 runs off one over in senior cricket – after Garry Sobers, Ravi Shastri and Herschelle Gibbs – and the first to do it in a Twenty20 match. Yuvraj was out for 58, with a strike rate of 362.50 runs per 100 balls.

Gayle's 50 featured one four and seven sixes. He was out for 56, with a strike rate of 329.41 runs per 100 balls.
