Having crafted the seminal top-down soccer games Kick Off (1989), Kick Off 2 (1990) and Super Kick Off (1991), programming legend Dino Dini (UK/Italy) announced that he was returning to the franchise with Dino Dini's Kick Off Revival in 2016, marking a 27-year commitment to the series. In between, Dino also developed/worked on the soccer videogames Player Manager (1990), GOAL! (1993), Dino Dini's Soccer (1994), Three Lions/Alexei Lalas International Soccer (1998) and the cancelled Soccer 3/Total Control Football (2004).
The Kick Off franchise also spawned other, less-acclaimed sequels in the 1990s although Dino Dini didn't directly work on these.
