Fastest blindfolded W.V.B.A. Championship completion in Mike Tyson’s Punch Out!!

Performing a live blindfolded speed-run at the 2014 Awesome Games Done Quick event in January 2014, “Sinister1” (USA) expertly managed to fight his way to the W.V.B.A. Championship title in the NES classic Mike Tyson’s Punch Out!! in a time of 28 minutes 21 seconds. “Sinister1”'s impressive victories included a super-speedy pummelling of Von Kaiser in 38 seconds and a Round 1 title victory over Super Macho Man in 2 minutes 53 seconds. However, the visual handicap proved to be a hurdle too far when “Sinister1” encountered the game’s final “boss” Mike Tyson in "The Dream Fight". Despite landing several blows on the eponymous ring titan, Tyson prevailed. A spokesman for Awesome Games Done Quick told GWR that “this run works well blindfolded due to the very reliable audio cues, but the game is still incredibly challenging. Beating Mike Tyson is considered an achievement with the use of vision, let alone blind!”
