The shortest overtime in NFL history is 11 seconds in the playoff game won by the Denver Broncos, 29–23, against the Pittsburgh Steelers on 8 January 2012. On the first offensive play following the overtime kickoff, Denver quarterback Tim Tebow threw an 80-yard touchdown pass to Demaryius Thomas.
It is also the longest overtime touchdown in NFL playoff history.
