The most Africa Cup of Nations titles won with different countries by a coach is two and was achieved by Hervé Renard (France), who managed Zambia to victory in 2012 and was triumphant with Ivory Coast in 2015.
In 2012, Renard guided Zambia to a shock win as they defeated Ghana in the semi-finals, 1–0, before playing out a goalless draw with Ivory Coast in the final and defeating the favourites on penalties.
Three years later Renard repeated the trick with Ivory Coast, who won the 2015 Final via a penalty shooutout following a 0–0 draw against Ghana. The opposing goalkeepers had to take the 11th penalty for each side; Boubacar Barry converted for The Elephants while Brimah Razak failed to score for the Black Stars.
