The most wins of the women's hockey Champions Trophy by an individual is six and was achieved by Luciana Aymar (Argentina) in 2001, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2012 and 2014.

Aymar scored the first of her side's penalties in a penalty shootout that Argentina won to claim their sixth crown, which also equals the team record. This was Aymar's last game for "Las Leonas" and she retired having taken part in 14 Champions Trophy tournaments, scoring 21 goals. She is widely considered to be the greatest female hockey player ever, having won the FIH Player of the Year award an unprecedented eight times.

By winning the 2014 Champions Trophy the midfielder took the outright record from Australian pair Rechelle Hawkes and Juliet Haslam, who have five titles.

The dutch duo Fatima Moreira de Melo and Minke Booij won the tournament on four occasions.
