An ambrotype photograph is defined as a positive photograph on a glass surface, produced through a wet plate collodion process. The process is delicate and time sensitive, where the photo has to be taken after the glass is salted. For such a large piece of glass, a large camera was required as well. Dimitris is a collodian photographer and camera builder who wanted to challenge himself to create this photo. The photo itself measures 1.2 metres wide x 2.0 metres long and weighs 50 kg. The process took place in Dimitris's studio.
