Largest gin tasting event (multiple venues)

The largest gin tasting event (multiple venues) involved 802 participants, achieved by Gintonica (Australia), across thirty venues in Australia, on 22 November 2020.

During the Covid-19 Pandemic, Gintonica wanted to create an event that could connect people for a common purpose, while still meeting "covid-safe" health standards. David Box, founder of Gintonica, reached out to his network of restaurants, distilleries and suppliers for support and titled the event, "Gintonica's Ginormous Gin Tasting." On the day, thirty venues put on the tasting at the exact same time, led by an expert in gin and sampling three different styles. Apart from becoming Officially Amazing, participants received a commemorative "Copa de Balon" glass and a copy of David Box's book, "Australian Gin."
