Multi-instrumentalist/composer/producer Eduardo Cabra, one half of the Puerto Rican hip-hop/urban duo Calle 13 alongside René “Residente” Pérez, had won 24 Latin Grammys by the end of the 2019 awards on 14 November 2019 – 14 credited to Calle 13 and 10 under his own name. Formerly known to Calle 13 fans as “Visitante”, Cabra has one more Latin Grammy award than 23-time winner Juanes – the most Latin Grammys won by a solo artist.

Cabra’s bandmate “Residente” had won 22 Latin Grammys as of the same date (14 November 2019) – 14 as Calle 13 and eight under his own name.

Cabra, who also held the record for the most nominations (43) as of 2019, was nominated for Producer of the Year in 2020, taking his tally to 44. Alejandro Sanz now shares the accolade with 44 nominations, including three in 2020, while Juanes’ three 2020 nods take him up to 42 nominations.
