The record for driving to the highest altitude on an electric motorcycle is 6,047.8 m (19,841 ft 10 in) achieved by Francisco "Chaleco" López Contardo (Chile) with sponsorship from Red Bull Chile on a KTM electric motorcycle on the slopes of the Ojos Del Salado volcano, Atacama, Chile, on 22 November 2015.

López began riding at the age of 4 and gets his nickname Chaleco (Spanish for vest) from the vest he uses for protection.
