On 22 September 2017, “Shape of You” ended the 11-month reign of Canadian rapper Drake’s “One Dance” as Spotify’s most streamed track. It’s the second Sheeran hit to take the accolade after “Thinking Out Loud”, which, as of 20 February 2020, was ranked fifth overall with 1,489,271,501 streams.
