The singles "Just the Way You Are" (2010), "Grenade" (2010) and "Uptown Funk!" (2014) have all sold in excess of 10 million copies worldwide, making Bruno Mars (USA, b. Peter Hernandez) the first ever male artist to achieve the feat. As of July 2015, "Just the Way You Are" (estimated worldwide sales of more than 13.2 million), "Grenade" (10.6 million) and "Uptown Funk!" (10 million) were Mars' biggest-selling singles. "Uptown Funk!" reached the milestone in April 2015.
According to the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry's (IFPI) Digital Music Report 2012, "Just the Way You Are" and "Grenade" sold 12.5 million and 10.2 million copies respectively in 2011 - the only two singles to shift more than 10 million copies worldwide that year.
Flo Rida ("Low", 2007; "Right Round", 2009) and Pharrell Williams ("Blurred Lines", 2013; "Happy", 2013) have both featured on two 10-million-selling singles. "Get Lucky" could give Pharrell a Mars-equalling third 10-million+ entry. As of July 2015, it had sold more than 9.3 million copies worldwide.
In the pre-digital era, only Bing Crosby ("White Christmas" and "Silent Night" - two of the three biggest-selling singles of all time) achieved as many as two 10-million-selling singles among male artists.
Three female singers - Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Rihanna - have released three singles that have sold at least 10 million copies worldwide, all in the digital era. Respectively, they are "Just Dance" (2008), "Poker Face" (2008) and "Bad Romance" (2009); "Firework" (2010), "Roar" (2013) and "Dark Horse" (2013); and "Love the Way You Lie" (2010), "We Found Love" (2011) and "Stay" (2013).
