Created by Jesse Lozano and Ryan Dunwoody, the "Pi-Top" is a kit of parts and design files that allows anyone with a 3D printer to print their own laptop. The plans for a 3D-printed case (and the necessary assembly components) can be printed by any conventional 3D printer, and also allow the owner to add their own name, text, colours or designs on the laptop case itself. The kit is completed with a Raspberry Pi microcomputer, keyboard, display and all of the associated interface and control electronics to allow the build of a complete and fully functional laptop. The kit is designed to teach users how to build relatively complex electronic goods and create a better understanding of manufacturing.
