In April 2014 the Danish Geodata Agency published a 1:1 scale recreation of Denmark in Minecraft, using a giant haul of around 4 trillion blocks to create it. The map featured buildings, trees and structures and was based on its own geodata. Players were able to explore every inch of the 43,000-km² (16,602-square-mile) country. Uncompressed, the maps came to around a terabyte of data in total. The map is also the first full-scale-modelled country in a videogame. On 7 May 2014, cyber vandals managed to smuggle dynamite into the country and blew up a small area of the project. Thankfully, the damage was soon repaired by other players.
