Selena Gomez (USA) has won more Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards (KCA) trophies – 11 – than any other individual bar Will Smith, but ‘only’ five of those awards were for her music: Favorite Female Artist (2012, 2014-15 and 2017) and the KCA Fan Army award for her “Selenators” (2014). The other six blimps were earned for Favorite TV Actress, for playing Alex Russo in the teen sitcom Wizards of Waverly Place (2009-13), and Favorite Female Voice from an Animated Movie, for playing Mavis in Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation (2019). By comparison, Ariana Grande (USA), who collected her ninth blimp at the 35th KCA’s in Santa Monica, California, USA, on 9 April 2022, has won eight times for her music: Favorite Female Artist (2016 and 2019-22), Favorite Song for “Bang Bang” (2015, feat. Jessie J & Nicki Minaj) and “thank u, next” (2019), and Favorite Music Collaboration for “Stuck with U” (2021; feat. Justin Bieber). In 2014, Grande kicked off her KCA winning streak by taking home the prize for Favorite TV Actress, for playing Cat Valentine in the teen sitcom Sam & Cat.

In 2022, her Favorite Female Artist win and Favorite Music Collaboration nomination (for the remix of The Weeknd’s “Save Your Tears”) were her 15th and 16th Nickelodeon nods.
